Flexa ("we", "us") is a dating assistant app that gives you AI-powered feedback on your dating profile and conversations. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it in plain English.
What we collect
Images you upload. Screenshots of your dating conversations and photos from your dating profile, which you choose to submit for analysis. This is the core of the service — we only receive images you deliberately select.
Text you provide. Optional context notes and profile prompt text you type into the app.
Account identifier. Flexa creates an anonymous account for you automatically. We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, so we can unlock unlimited analyses. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.
Basic usage records. A history of your analyses (results and timestamps) so the app can show your saved conversations and track free-tier usage.
How we use your data
Images and text you submit are sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate your feedback and reply suggestions. Anthropic processes this data to provide the analysis and does not use it to train their models.
Your uploads and results are stored in your private account space so you can revisit saved conversations.
Subscription events from Apple (via our payment partner Superwall) update your access level.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. Ever.
We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
We don't use your images to train AI models.
We don't access your photo library — you pick the images that get uploaded, and only those are sent to us.
Important: other people in your screenshots
Conversation screenshots naturally include messages written by the people you're chatting with. Please be thoughtful about what you upload. These images are used solely to generate your coaching feedback, are stored privately in your account, and are never shared or made public.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and storage provider) in access-controlled, private storage. Images are held in a private bucket that only your account can access. All data is encrypted in transit.
How long we keep it
Your uploads and analysis history are kept while your account exists so the app can function. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's settings, or by emailing us — deletion is permanent and removes your uploads, analyses, and account records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Since Flexa accounts are anonymous, the simplest way to exercise these rights is deleting your account in the app. For anything else, contact us at the email below.
Age requirement
Flexa is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the app. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
